The Role
Thought it was hard to get used to waking up for work at 9am rather than lectures at 11am, the experience was worth this initial struggle!
I was invited out on all events like full time colleagues. Everyone shares cake on their birthday etc, and I was made to feel included.
Everyone on my team is willing to help me or point me in the direction of someone else who will be more helpful
Meetings in my team are limited to those that are absolutely necessary so I had enough time to get on with my work in standard working hours.
I feel like it wouldn't be the end of the world if my work went wrong, but at the same time it will make a real difference to people when it goes right.
Much, much better than learning at university. The hands on approach allows me to practice skills.
The Company
Often people bring in birthday cakes or holiday treats and we usually eat lunch as a team together. I know some people play netball together, or football, and occasionally we have work drinks with the manager. There is a bar in the office every Thursday(!) and we have events such as silly shirt day or jeans for charity day.
There were networking events before we started and a full training plan once I arrived. Work was available for me throughout the time here.
There is an extensive library of online training sessions that we all have access to on top of the standard training.

I am confident that if I do well, I can start on the grad scheme.
The Culture
The other interns socialise a lot, and there are some intern social events organised by the company, e.g. drinks, bowling, and a leaving party.
For London, it really wasn't too expensive! The bar in the canteen is cheaper than the local bars and still atmospheric.
London.
There is a football team, netball club, running club, choir, lots of charity events and others.
