The Role
A good balance between training sessions, spending time inthe business and day to day responsibilities
Made to feel part of the team and adding value.
Weekly meetings and daily catch ups to ensure I know waht I am doing. Excellent support from my mentor. Managers always there if I needed to ask any questions.
I am fortunate to have been split across two teams so if one team is quiet I can pick up work from the team. Both are fairly flexible in terms of how much I am able to get involved from day to day.
I have been given a lot of responsibility across both the teams. On insurance I have been running the majority of the BAU tasks and similarly on Loans I have been looking at the full documentaton process.
I have developed some invaulable skills over the last 9 weeks both in terms of technical abilities and soft skills such as how to conduct myself within the business.
The Company
Everyone seemed happy within their role and there wasa really good atmosphere across my teams
I was given a relatively clear sturcuture to my internship however there was a bit of confusion about my transition to another team and how I would cover both teams.
A lot of time has been invested in me in making sure I am competent with the systems and processes that are needed to fulfil my day to day role.
Subsidised/Company Gym
I would be extremely interested in pursuing a role at Nomura, especially within my current team.
The Culture
There is always a few people going for drinks after work.
Fairly expensive but to be expected.
We are very well connected to the rest of the city so easy to get around.
There are many opportunites to get involved with sports, charity and workshops outside of work.
