The Role
I really enjoyed my work placement with Savills, I always had something interesting to do and colleagues always made sure I had a good balance of being in and out of the office.
The staff on my team really appreciated the work I undertook for them.
I was given great support and guidance, I always felt that I could ask questions and staff were very encouraging.
I always had something interesting to do and when I had completed my work there was always something more to do. I had to be very diligent with my time as sometimes I was doing a couple of jobs and once ... all added to the experience of working in a busy environment.
As I was only on placement for a month responsibility was given more towards the end of my placement in terms of researching material for clients. I only wish my placement had lasted longer so I could be given more responsibility.
This placement has vastly supported the knowledge I have obtained from my degree. I have felt that I have been able to put my degree in Real Estate in to practice and it has been very rewarding doing so. This month has certainly provided me with skills for life.
The Company
A great environment, my colleages were very hard working and we really did get our heads down when we needed to but overall a fun and vibrant office.
Everything was seamlessly in place, I had work to do as soon as I entered the office on my first day and the HR department always provided me with the important information I needed.
The company were always willing to answer any questions I had, they were very supportive. Opportunities were always created for me in order to get out of the office, see work first hand and meet clients.
I would love to have a job within Savills and will certainly be applying for their graduate scheme.
The Culture
Great social scene with lots of colleagues meeting up after work hours.
As I already live close to the area I worked in the cost of living and socialising was relatively low.
Ipswich doesn't exactly have the best nightclubs but as long as you are with the right people it is an alright area to go out in!
Not as of yet but I am sure if I was to come back as a graduate there would be!
