About You
It was a great experience not only allowing me to gain an insight into the role of a graduate surveyor but also the roles of members higher up in the team through shadowing.
At times mixed but that is to be expected because of the fact that I am not only a non-cognate but a lot of the work carried out by the team requires market specific knowledge and experience. However, there was always work for me to complete.
The whole team was extremely supportive throughout.
some of the skills I have developed are easily transferrable but others are quite specific to individual jobs.
The Company
The structure set out by HR was extremely supportive and made a lot of effort for the interns to meet eachother.
Great team.
There were not that many opportunities to undergo training.
It gave an effective insight not only into the roles of graduates but those higher up aswell.
although the internship was short it was long enough to understand the company culture
Everything Else
if there were site visits, my team members would pay and claim my travel back on their expenses
the grads at savills made an effort to invite the interns to some of the events they attended.
they were a good opportunity to meet some of the other interns and grads.
As I said before, the grads make an effort to invite the interns out to their social events.
A really valuable experience allowing me to get to know the industry better and what my role would be like as a grad.
