The Role
The Bank seems to be one of the best places to work if you like economics (which I do).
People worrk very hard here but still have time to chat if you make the effort. They see you as a valuable member of the team.
As much help as I wanted/needed.
There were some busy/late days just before a deadline but that hapens anywhere. On the whole it was a relaxed and friendlty environment with no-one pressuring you to get your work done (although you did have to get your work done).
I was guided by my manager, however, I was in charge/the owner of my work.
The programs used, research done and 'way of writing' will help massively in my degree studies. At Uni one tends to waffle a lot in essays/assignments but here you get right to the point. Goods skills.
The Company
People worked hard so it was relatively quiet, however, you were free to chat, wander or attend seminars. Everyone was really nice and friendly too.
Seamless for me.
The more you put in the more you'll take out.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Working from home
It's the Bank of England. Although a lot depends on what division you are put in and what you like doing.
The Culture
We organised weekly nights out etc.
It is London but not incredibly expensive.
It's London, they have everything.
If you want to you can get involved in loads of things.
