About You
The internship was excellent! I really enjoyed it.
I felt very valued - I had my own responsibility and followed some projects right from start to finish. I definitely feel as though i contributed to the group - particularly by the end I had certain tasks which I could do well and was asked to do a few times.
My team described what was required of me clearly, and over the course of the month I accumulated knowledge and required less guidance - I learnt how things should be done. Still, my team were approachable and kind, so I had a very good level of guidance.
Very much. I learnt loads of practical skills and picked up a lot of technical knowledge. The experience working in an office, and under Savills well-known name is invaluable.
The Company
Well-structured. Alongside the team-specific work, group activities such as tours, talks and presentations (not to mention socials) were organised for us. The graduates were also great in terms of making sure I always had something to do; for example. they asked around the office and got me involved with site visits, meetings etc.
Great atmosphere - very committed and hard-working, yet relaxed and fun office. Everyone very welcome.
The team and rec recruitment staff offered endless advice, and encuraged me to apply to the grad scheme.
Very much. I've learnt exactly what the job entails, spoken to others about their experience and gained first hand experience in the office environment which was new to me.
Very much. I had never had office experience before, I understand much more about businesses like this, and specifically about Savills, its culture of working hard-playing hard.
Everything Else
We were all paid a very reasonable wage compared to many internships.
Lots! Many socials were organised, as well as presentations with directors, and I had the chance to work closely with people at the top of their game - as well as the other interns!
These were great!
Yes, interns were included in sports, socials, eaving-dos and birthdays - I got a good feel for how life outside of work here is!
Definitely, anyone thinking about a career in property should do it - invaluable in terms of deciding whether its right for you.
