The Role
It was one of the best things that ever happened to me. Very productive way to spend your holiday with lots of chances to boost your employability skills
From the very first day I felt like part of the team. When I went for 3 days to work with other team I really missed my desk and the team
My manager was always there to support me. Arranged meetings with key people in Operations Departament. Help me find the answers to questions i had either directly or by directing me to the source where i can find the answer.
Beeing responsible for 3 projects meant at some points I was overloaded with work which i was happy about to get exposure to this kind of work life.
I one of my projects I had to manage communication between team in India and Poland, which was an exciting experience.
I now can manage my time better and being able to prioritise my objectives
The Company
There were days when people were busy and it was quiet on the floor, however on fridays everyone is relaxed and happy. Throughout the week you can always hear spontaneous laugh
Induction week and whole plan for my internship was good, however i wish they have sorted out the passowrds and required access to the system before i got to my desk.
Induction week was packed with sessions such as excel and presentation skills, and financial markets and UBS information sessions. In addition durring my internship I was able to take part in UBS Bussiness University sessions and Operations Academy. Plus there is loads of online training sessions that will benefit anyone.
Financial Bonus
Every intern stands the chance of getting GTP place if they show interest and their manager is happy with them.
The Culture
Lots of evening events. Plus we stayed in touch and very often had lunch together or went fr drinks after work.
Central London is expensive, but most of the time you get decent quality for value of money
It was ok
Nothing that I have heard of
