The Role
Really enjoyed being part of a scheme with so many interns involved. There were 130 of us so there is always someone to talk to, go out for lunch with and go for drinks with. Especially good if you are new to living in London as weekends can get lonely.
I did quite a significant project so they appreciated what I was doing and would give advice.
Everyone on my team was willing to help and answer my questions.
Varies day to day, sometimes would have lots to do sometimes not as much, Towards the end my team ran out of things to give me.
I had quite a significant project that will be useful for my team after I leave.
Training will help in fututrre applications, and experiences will help in job interviews.
The Company
Really happy team that get on well together. My team didn't really hang out after work or at lunch though, but friends of mine did.
Very well organised internship. UBS have been running them for a while. First week was entirely training and second week I met my team and line manager.
They spent a lot of money on us. They paid for us all to do an excel training course and for lots of lunches, evening drinks and canapees.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events

Reallly friendly work atmosphere
The Culture
interns hung out together a lot
London is very expensive, hence why they pay so much!
Shoreditch is around the corner with many bars, pubs and clubs.
UBS have sports clubs but we weren't offered the chance to join them. They have a volunteering program where employees get to volunteer outside the office, and most interns were able to do one of these days. But CCS didn't.
