The Role
I was in a very varied role, so no 2 days were the same, and I was also able to rotate teams meaning I was exposed to further work.
I was given tasks that the team would complete normally, meaning I was actually doing proper work, despite only being there for 2 months.
My manager was always available if I needed help with anything, and we'd also arranged weekly catch-ups. I was also assigned a buddy who could also provide extra support.
I took on an extremely varied role, and there was always some work that I could be doing, so I was quite busy most days.
Was able to take on numerous different projects that I could take the lead on, these projects were actually beneficial and useful for the team.
The internship was a great way to pick up computer skills like powerpoint and skills, learn what to prepare for meetings, interact with senior managers etc and these will all prove useful in later jobs.
The Company
I was in a small part of the office so sometimes it was quite quiet, but depending on what team you're in, other floors would be a bit more lively.
My manager arranged for my rotations, and not all interns had the opportunity to do that. There were also regular socials and events organised by HR which were a great way to meet other interns, and other people at UBS.
The first week was a training week where you were taught most of what you would need to know before the internship. There were also further events throughout that included training.

I've really enjoyed my time on the internship so would definitely consider a full time role here. Interns find out in their last week if they've been accepted onto the graduate programme.
The Culture
Given the nature of an investment bank, a lot of the intern's working hours were different to mine meaning sometimes it was quite hard to arrange social events, but most interns were up for a quick drink after work.
My accommodation was quite expensive, as well as the cost of socialising!
Lots of bars and restaurants in the surrounding area.
There were lots of different activities that you could do outside of work.
