The Role
Thoroughly enjoyable job, the people were great and my boss gave me the freedom to find out about what parts of the company interest me
Everyone is really friendly, people come and say hello all the time and they respect and listen to your opinion.
Advice was there when I needed it, but it's up to me to ask for it.
Good balance, when I was at work I was busy but the hours weren't too long. Could take as much work on as I liked.
I was in direct contact with customers, were given daily tasks that affected customers but in my time there I wasn't given the full duties of someone who worked my job for a living - as to be expected, 10 weeks isn't long enough to learn a full job
Will help with presentations and networking but really relevant to my degree
The Company
Good ethos in the office, we had bi weekly huddles and there was a great out of office scene
The people in my office were fantastic but the HR department were very poor at responding to emails at the beginning, I think they are understaffed. Credit given to Lorcan for sorting out any issues I had.
There is the potential to move on to the graduate program.
The Culture
We had a great group of interns who were always socialsing. One thing I would recommend is to find the names of the other interns who are in london as soon as possible, we didn't meet each other until the third week which was a shame
It's London
Nothing officially organised by Santander but there was always something going on with colleagues.
