The Role
Much harder than university but time seems to fly.
From day one I was involved in actual real software issues. After two weeks I was able to police my own working hours.
Had one member of the team with me for most of the time throughout the first few weeks
Come in at your start time, leave at your finish time. - unless there was a major issue that needed fixed. Very understanding of appointments etc.
Developed my own application for my and other teams to use. First line support.
Showed me how to program correctly and introduced me to many new libarys.
The Company
Most of the time its just get on with the job - not much team work unless help is needed.
receiving job descriptions seem to take forever however prior to that and after that was extremly efficient and fast

The Culture
Everyone was really nice but noone really stepped forward as the "social sec"
Its london - expensive!
No idea but its london so presumbly good
Nomura are very big on charity so plenty of charity events - almost weekly.
