The Role
Overall the bank is a very good place to work, internship provided training opportunities and learning opportunites.
Main focus is on your internship project, which leads to less team exposure than if you were working on day-to-day opeartions.
Excellent feedback on work. One of the best points about the internship
When deadlines were close I would be very busy, but there was a chilled atmosphere with fair work balance
Given a lot of responsibility with regards my project, it was all my own work. However, other opportunities for work were limited at times.
Writing skills have improved massively over my time. Chance to present improved presentation skills. Learnt more about economics, although I would've liked to have a more significant focus on economics.
The Company
A good working atmosphere with very friendly colleagues.
Had clear objectives throughout the internship
Presentation training was very useful.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Still unsure whether I will be offered a place on grad scheme
The Culture
Got on very well with the other interns, with regular socials
London - very expensive
London nightlife is fun, just very expensive
Only on the internship for a brief time so feel unable to properly comment on this, although there are activities availible in london.
