The Role
People treat you with a great amount of respect and value your contributions greatly.
A very good level of support by those you work with, less so by the graduate team.
This ranged greatly. Some weeks I traveled across the countries for events and meetings. Other weeks were quite slow.
A decent amount. Enough so you can make an impact but not enough to feel overwhelmed or in danger or doing something damaging.
Not at all in my degree but greatly in the work place.
The Company
I was part of a team with a great overall atmosphere
Quite well organised. A few errors with the work laptops but nothing else major. Work was structured well.
Centrica invest a great amount. I was given presentation training, the opportunity to present and detailed feeback. Excel training was also given to me which is very valuable. Other areas also included development days, insight days (I spent a day with an engineer) and networking events.
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Good, but competitive.
The Culture
By far the best part about the placement. You live with the other interns and have an incredible time!
On the higher side but not ridiculous.
There was none. But only a 15 minute jouney to Windsor meant we could have some nightlife.
Not much.
