The Role
Responsibility from the first few days of work onwards. You really feel like you are part of the team, contributing to the organization. Living with many interns during the summer placement is really really fun.
Everyone is very happy to help you or just talk to you about their experiences.
Really hands off approach, learning by doing, discovering things - a very steep learning curve but also very valuable experience
Quite busy, especially towards te end when all deliverables were due in.
Complete ownership of your individual projects. At times I provided support to oher team members but most of the time I was managing my own work.
There are learning events during the placement such as presentation training, leadership training, progress talks and charity challenges.
The Company
General office atmosphere, everyone is very focused on their work. But office is very open, with lovely outdoor areas for lunch and casual meetings.
Got to go to visit a Power Station as a learning opportunity - eye opening experience.
National Travel
You are directly considered for the grad scheme as a summer placement student.
The Culture
Wonderful social scene with fellow summer placements.
Accomodation is included - area in general was on the expensive side but not ridiculous.
It's more about the crowd :)
Charity challenge!
