The Role
I really enjoyed all aspects of my role. It was very inciteful with reference to real estate and in particular surveying. My jobs were interesting and also useful for professional development.
Extremely valued. I was introduced to all my team members and they each took the time to speak to me.
Help was always there. I wasn't 'molly cuddled' however, which was great and therefore I could add real value to the team.
Very busy, I was never bored and always had a project to do. I could essentially choose my work amount.
A lot. I was involved in the beginnings of a large project, which if I had not produced good work would have been a costly mistake.
All the skills I learnt were critical for real estate. Although they are unlikely to help me in my current degree, I intend to do a real estate masters which will prove very extension of the practical aspects I hav learnt. The skills will also be very helpful for personal ambitions.
The Company
It was calm, busy and fun.
Very well organised - different activities at least weekly which were designed to make us feel welcomed and important.
They invested a lot of time into me which came at a financial cost for them.
Very appealing, I will apply for a grad role and hope to progress vertically in the firm structure.
The Culture
There was only one other intern in at the same time but it was nice to get to know them personally.
Very cheap considering center of birmingham.
Very busy! Drinks every day and plenty of bars.
Yes, weekly sporting activities.
