  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • High levels of autonomy and independence to get on with the job. The variety of things to be involved with really helps.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • UBS values it's talent pipeline and as such invests a huge amount of time and effort in it's interns and graduates. Strong training/development programme to compliment this mentality.

  • Plenty of support and guidance. Weekly catch-ups with line manages/gradute buddies are invaluable!

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The summer months are naturally 'quieter' times but there is still plenty to do, which gives a great balance between learning and doing.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Pretty good responsibility. Working in a bank, you often come across some pretty sensitive information and being included in the 'need-to-know' list is a good feeling but certainly carries it's responsibilities.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Presentation skills. Without question you will do a presentation of some sort and this can only help not just back at uni, but also in the future.
