The Role
High levels of autonomy and independence to get on with the job. The variety of things to be involved with really helps.
UBS values it's talent pipeline and as such invests a huge amount of time and effort in it's interns and graduates. Strong training/development programme to compliment this mentality.
Plenty of support and guidance. Weekly catch-ups with line manages/gradute buddies are invaluable!
The summer months are naturally 'quieter' times but there is still plenty to do, which gives a great balance between learning and doing.
Pretty good responsibility. Working in a bank, you often come across some pretty sensitive information and being included in the 'need-to-know' list is a good feeling but certainly carries it's responsibilities.
Presentation skills. Without question you will do a presentation of some sort and this can only help not just back at uni, but also in the future.
