The Role
Fantastic experience - really great office culture, learnt an enormous amount and had lots of fun doing so.
Ideas and contributions to discussion encouraged and seriously considered by senior fund managers. Invited along to team socials.
Support was always available, and someone was always happy to answer questions and give guidance.
Quite bumpy - sometimes had large projects and masses to do, whereas some periods were very quiet and useful work could be hard to source
Sat in on meetings with global research heads of major investment banks. Tasked with producing chart packs that were directly seen to influence investment decisions.
Very useful economic insights that should help inform my understanding of my degree
The Company
Great team of people with a fantastic mix of serious and highly academic work and fun socials.
Reasonable balance of group sessions, although primarily left to learn on the job.
Given useful software training at the company's expense,

Fingers crossed - a lot of the firm's senior staff were on the grad scheme, which makes it highly appreciated and well established.
The Culture
Fairly busy to begin with, although this turned fairly quiet as time went on.
Central London, so hardly the cheapest place...
Lots of pubs about, although luckily the West End is easy enough to get to for bars and clubs
Quite a few sporting activities
