  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Fantastic experience - really great office culture, learnt an enormous amount and had lots of fun doing so.

  • Ideas and contributions to discussion encouraged and seriously considered by senior fund managers. Invited along to team socials.

  • Support was always available, and someone was always happy to answer questions and give guidance.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Quite bumpy - sometimes had large projects and masses to do, whereas some periods were very quiet and useful work could be hard to source

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Sat in on meetings with global research heads of major investment banks. Tasked with producing chart packs that were directly seen to influence investment decisions.

  • Very useful economic insights that should help inform my understanding of my degree

  • Great team of people with a fantastic mix of serious and highly academic work and fun socials.

  • Reasonable balance of group sessions, although primarily left to learn on the job.

  • Fingers crossed - a lot of the firm's senior staff were on the grad scheme, which makes it highly appreciated and well established.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Fairly busy to begin with, although this turned fairly quiet as time went on.

  • Central London, so hardly the cheapest place...

  • Lots of pubs about, although luckily the West End is easy enough to get to for bars and clubs
