The Role
The atmosphere at the workplace made it really enjoyable, not to mention all of the activities and facilities provided.
Interns in general are not treated as some "special" creatures, I was a member of the team doing non-practice work. The team as well as the rest of the interns and staff were really friendly.
Whenever help was needed I could ask my manager or any members of my team.
Hours are very flexible and as quite quite interested in completing my tasks as fast as possible, even though I was never pressured to do so.
I was given the chance to work on a big project, which will be released in the future. I started work as the only person on the project and then more people joined in.
Gained a lot of experience in specific areas as well as general experience of working in a big tech company.
The Company
Nerf guns, mini-golf, quadcopters....enough said.
Except for some IT and technical issues from time to time, the organization was done quite well.
I am a very curious person by nature, so as this was my first work in such a company, everything seemed really interesting.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Too soon to talk about my next internship or post-graduate work, but working with ARM again seems like a nice idea.
The Culture
Yes, there were lots of events meant for interns which helped us get to know one another better.
Cambridge is really nice city, but may be expensive at times.
As previously stated, Cambridge is a fascinating city, Nightlife included.
Cambridge is a small city, so some searching may be needed.
