The Role
The placement was very enjoyable. The particular project that I was assigned to was within an area of great personal interest.
A few weeks into the placement I forgot thinking of myself as an intern and more as a team member. My colleagues treated me as a normal team member.
I was given plenty of support and guidance when I requested it. At times I was also encouraged to spend time thinking about how to solve a particular problem.
At first I was waiting for certain admin tasks to be completed to allow me access to project resources. Once access was granted I was generally busy throughout the day without feeling over-worked.
I was given a high level of responsibility and in my first week was making changes to live systems.
The work I did was aligned well to my degree studies. It allowed me to use my existing skills well and the new skills I learnt were applicable to my degree.
The Company
Office was an open and fun experience. Everyone was friendly and someone was always around to help out.
The placement was planned well however had to send my documentation multiple times after my offer.
The firm invested a lot in us - this investment included a funded QA excel course..
Subsidised Canteen
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
I would be very happy to continue employment here.
The Culture
Social scene was average, it was mostly left for us to organize.
I was living at home during the placement so only had to pay for commute into London.
This didn't apply to me as I was living at home.
This is dependent on the project that you are assigned to. My project there was normally fortnightly events.
