The Role
I really enjoyed my internship - the people I was working with were fantastic and everything I did was interesting. The whole experience gave me a good insight into what it would be like to work for the company.
I was always made to feel valued - even whilst doing a more mundane task I was reminded how much value I could be adding to the company by doing it which helped me appreciate the importance of what I was doing.
I was always able to ask somebody if I had questions and never felt like I was being left alone with no idea about what I was doing.
I was always given plenty of things to do - a perfect balance which kept me busy and working all day.
At the beginning not so much as I was still learning about the business. But as time went on I was slowly given more autonomy.
I have developed some really valuable skills which I am sure will assist me greatly in the future.
The Company
The general atmosphere was very good, I was made to feel very welcome from the start.
Fairly well organised although there were some small technical issues initially to do with organising computer logins etc.
L'Oreal has an excellent program in terms of development, there are a lot of resources online accessible to interns which I was able to make use of, and I was able to have several meetings with my line manager to set out and appraise development goals for my internship.

I find the idea of future employment with L'Oreal really appealing. It is a great place to develop yourself and your skills.
The Culture
There is an intern group which organises social events for all the interns.
I was based in the Llantrisant office so everything was very cheap.
