The Role
Good working environment, friendly atmosphere, interesting tasks.
Well valued considering I was an intern working with fairly senior management.
Always happy to help, found time to stop what they were doing and fully engage with the problem or query.
Could have been busier towards the beginning of my placement, better towards the end as the situation was highlighted to the managers.
Difficult to take on large amounts of responsibility in an office that is so close to senior management, in a company with such a dedication to quality at all levels.
Will be especially helpful outside university. Skills for dealing with busy and senior people, along with practice on influencing without authority in particular.
The Company
Friendly yet professional, the perfect atmosphere for encouraging good quality work and enthusiasm.
Seemed very well organised until there were issues. When the main project workload wasn't as high as they had anticipated there was no real plan in place.
Always felt as though the internship was Rolls-Royce investing in my development as much or more than I was helping them achieve their goals.

Working from home
Very appealing company to work for. Great review system for ensuring success is recorded and rewarded. Also infinite oppertunities for working abroad or in various different roles.
The Culture
Yes although to be part of it you had to be staying in Derby University Halls with the majority of the other interns.
Fairly normal for a mid-sized city such as Nottingham or Derby.
Derby is faily quiet but Nottingham is nearby for a bigger night out.
Golf with colleagues, societies open etc.
