    • I thoroughly enjoyed my internship and had a great experience.

    • I felt very comfortable and had a nice working atmosphere with my colleagues.

    • Management / supervisors provided support and guidance when required, HR are also happy to help if you have any issues.

    • Levels of work fluctuated on a daily basis. This can be expected in any career.

    • I was given a project to complete over my internship which has potential to be rolled out across the whole business.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • There is formal training during the first week of the internship to develop soft skills and a basic level of financial markets. There are also opportunities to develop other skills and knowledge by arranging events within the business (e.g. work-shadowing). Coming from a non-financial background, the most important knowledge I developed was understanding the different functions within an investment bank.

    • Friendly atmosphere.

    • HR organise a lot of additional events and activities throughout the internship. It was very well structured.

    • Personal training during the first week of the internship. Colleagues are also willing to provide time to train you if required.
