The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship and had a great experience.
I felt very comfortable and had a nice working atmosphere with my colleagues.
Management / supervisors provided support and guidance when required, HR are also happy to help if you have any issues.
Levels of work fluctuated on a daily basis. This can be expected in any career.
I was given a project to complete over my internship which has potential to be rolled out across the whole business.
There is formal training during the first week of the internship to develop soft skills and a basic level of financial markets. There are also opportunities to develop other skills and knowledge by arranging events within the business (e.g. work-shadowing). Coming from a non-financial background, the most important knowledge I developed was understanding the different functions within an investment bank.
The Company
Friendly atmosphere.
HR organise a lot of additional events and activities throughout the internship. It was very well structured.
Personal training during the first week of the internship. Colleagues are also willing to provide time to train you if required.
