The Role
Enjoyed the work but at times there was no work around.
Really nice team to work for.
Supervisor gave loads of advice and help on the work I was doing and advice for future career.
There were times during the month were there was little or no work but at month-end I was kept busy.
Had responsibility over reports which contributed to monthly reports and were sent off to the parent company.
Being able to see what I have learned at university being implemented in real life was an eye-opener and I guess I would be able to see how the impact of accounting is on the real world when learning new techniques at university.
The Company
Really nice people in the office and everyone talked to each other.
The HR department is really poor. Didn't even know I was leaving until the last moment and had to fill out loads of forms before leaving.
There isn't any professional qualification training but had modules in intellectual property and export control to do.
They don't have a graduate scheme as such so only when there is a need for someone new they would employ.
The Culture
The company did'nt attempt to connect all of the other students from the other areas of the business together.
Bedford and Milton Keynes are close by.
Bedford and Milton Keynes are close by and have good nightlife.
There were many opportunites to volunteer for charities and go to international events such as airshows.
