The Role
Really enjoyed it. The team were great and the work was varied!
Very much so, I never needed to book to any overheads as my time was 100% productive to jobs.
Working as part of the team meant as soon as there were any queries I was able to ask anyone. Everyone was more than happy to help,
The early week or two was fairly slow but once I started to gain knowledge of the ongoing jobs I soon became busy and my desk was never empty!
More towards the end but also more than I expected as a summer student.
Particularly the use of standards and design codes will be useful in the future.
The Company
The entire office are very friendly, the company socials were great and there is always friendly conversation.
From the office side of things it was great, I had a desk and equipment set up ready for me to arrive, however there were delays in some of my services and inductions due to IT issues however this was not a fault of anyone in this office.
I was encouraged to look towards the professional charter ship objectives for all my work and ensured I had all necessary health and safety training.
Company Parties/Events
I plan on applying to the company 100% and hopefully there will be space within this office.
The Culture
The people in the office were very social and I was invited/included for everything
Very very cheap, living in student lettings meant costs were low.
Great nightlife, plenty of places to go.
Its a city so as much as you like!
