The Role
I enjoyed my internship with Atkins, there was a friendly atmosphere and I had challenging work.
Very - colleagues were very good at getting me involved with projects and providing feedback on my work.
Given appropriate support and guidance, and by other colleagues.
Generally had a good but not overwhelming amount of work to do, but work flow varied.
Was given solo tasks to complete, and expected to e.g. conduct phone interviews with external organisations.
The work I was involved in was very relevant to my studies/interests, and in particular the quantitative and IT skills I developed will be useful.
The Company
Generally chatty but otherwise quiet.
Reasonably well organised.
Was given fairly free reign and responsibility, which allows personal skills development. Also able to learn through company events/talks.
