  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • ARM is a great place to work and my project was interesting.

  • Sometimes people were appreciative of my work, but occasionally my contributions were ignored.

  • Help was available from colleagues when required.

  • I had lots to do, including extra objectives if I finished early. It wasn't too stressful, however.

  • I was able to write code as I wished (i.e. design it how I wanted). However, ability to change other parts of the project was limited.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • While not particularly relevant to my degree, the some of the skills involved (Linux kernel drivers) would be useful to a future employer.

  • HR are very organised and did a great job of organising all the placements.

  • There was a large number of other interns there so quite a few social opportunities.

  • I was able to live at home so not too bad.

  • Cambridge is not renowned for its night life.

  • Yes, including pub trips with other interns, and paid-for entry for the London to Cambridge charity bike ride.
