The Role
On the whole a very enjoyable experience.
I felt like the work I completed was valued by my colleagues
My manager was very good and generally helped me when I needed it.
I was very busy all the time.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility, I think the right balance of not too much but enough that I felt like I was making a difference
I think I learnt some useful skills and my experience should be useful when applying for other jobs.
The Company
Fun atmosphere, people got on with their work but still were chatty. A good balance
I think it was very well organised from start to finish
We were given a CV training workshop.
Subsidised Canteen
Applied for a job in a different department, got an interview but didn't get it as I didn't have enough experience. However, my line manager and colleague were extremely supportive during the application process and even gave me a mock interview which was very helpful!
The Culture
All the interns were actively encouraged to socialise with each other
London is always pretty expensive, especially when you aren't getting paid! Some bars/pubs nearby where there were happy hour deals on though, so not too bad.
Lots of pubs/bars/restaurants
Yes lots
