  • The placement was interesting and organised to maximise my learning.

  • Support was always available.

  • There was a good balance of site visits, presentations and individual work to keep my brain stimulated.

  • My placement was only 8 weeks and so it is too short a time to take on large responsibilities.

  • This was a perfect placement to refresh my knowledge for the 4th year of my degree and gain skills not available at university.

  • Welcoming environment with social activities to join.

  • Reasonably good but could have been pushed a little harder.

  • The placement was organised with the sole purpose of giving the placement students knowledge and experience.

  • Good.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • It is a small section of the company but there was still enough arranged activities.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The duration of the placement was short (8 weeks) and so a lease on reasonably prices accommodation was not possible. The accommodation was very expensive for the area per week (£117).

  • Enough for all individuals.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • 5 a side football, watching football, company organised newnet events and meals.
