    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed it, although I found that at times I did not have enough work to do.

  • I felt valued by everyone in the office and everyone was very nice and friendly.

  • I felt I was given support, however sometimes a little more support would have been appreciated.

  • I was not busy enough for enough of the time I was there.

  • I felt I was not given enough responsibility.

  • I think I have learnt valuable workplace skills that will come in use for when I get a real job.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was nice and friendly and welcoming.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I felt at times like I didn't have enough to do, especially in the first few weeks, so I feel it could have been better organised as they knew I was coming and there were quite a few placement students too.

  • I didn't do any specialist training whilst there.

  • Company Parties/Events

  • It is a well recognised company and one which I feel could be good to work for if you are in the correct department.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The atmosphere amongst placement students was excellent - however not a lot of interaction with the graduates (it was a bit us and them at times).

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cost of living was quite high. I was only 40mins (ish) from London though which was good for socialising.

  • There are a few pubs etc.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There was an organised graduate event which was good and a team building event one afternoon which was good to have the opportunity to get involved with.
