The Role
I really enjoyed my time with KPMG.
I was made to feel incredibly welcome from day one. In addition to this I was given tasks that really allowed me to contribute to my team's work.
Both my mentor and my manager were available for any questions that I had. They were invaluable in guiding me through my placement.
I was busy enough everyday that I was never bored, equally though my workload was never at an unmanagable level. It was relatively similar to what is expected of a 1st year graduate so from that point of view it was a perfect insight into what a grad job with KPMG is actually like.
I was given a lot of responsibility for my own work and was supported adequately to feel comfortable with this level of responsibility.
The skills I have developed while at KPMG will let me hit the ground running in a graduate job.
The Company
The office had a superb balance of hard work without total inability to have a quick chat and a bit of laugh with others in the department.
The Glasgow office did a fantastic job of creating a fully imersive programme where I felt valued.
The company trusted me to go out and work with different teams and learn while I was there.
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
I would definitely look to seek employment with KPMG in the future.
The Culture
Not particularly due the fact that I was the only intern within my department.
Glasgow is relatively expensive.
N/A
There were a number of sporting activities and office parties offered.
