The Role
I really enjoyed my internship it was a great experience overall. . One of the big four audit firms, KPMG is a brand name in itself with high client regard and international recognition but I believe what really sets apart KPMG is its working environment. A place where diversity is truly appreciated, employees are recognised for their hard work with a special focus on their personal development. Their motto is to make sure the people grow alongside the company. I believe KPMG is a great place to work at and I really enjoyed being a part of the KPMG team.
The best thing about KPMG is the people in the orgaisation. All of them make you feel welcome and valued and encourage you to perform to the best of your abilities.
My supervisor was very prompt in her replies and helped me whenever I asked. Apart from her, everyone else also really helped me out. There is a policy at KPMG to encourage questions and a saying that goes no question is stupid!
I was kept busy at KPMG. My working hours were from 8:30/9:00 - 17:00 on an average, but if suppose you ran out of work you could always aske for more and get an opportunity to help out on various projects/clients.
The biggest surprise for me was the amount of responsibility and trust that my incharges showed on me from the very first day to complete challenging tasks which make you feel as a valued part of the team.
The biggest things I learnt and will take with me is the confidence gained by engaging with clients and forming interpersonal relationships with my colleagues. Also, the skills learnt from the job such as making power point presentations, working on excel, the numerical skills gained; all these I believe will prove to be invaluable.
The Company
The general atmosphere of the office was lively, friendly and really helpful with an opportunity to form great relationships with your colleagues.
It was very well organised as we were shown in just 8 short weeks how it would be to work at the firm full time. My internship consisted on working for different and varied clients, a lot of travel, corporate social responsibility days and a chance to visit the other branches of the firm as well.
They were extremely invested from the beginning, we were given loads of opportunity to travel, work at varied cient work, working as part of teams; not only that but we were given an opportunity to work for the betterment of the soicety by working as a part of a team during our CSR days which I believe contributed to my personal development a lot.

Extremely appealing, I would love to work and build a fututre at KPMG.
The Culture
All my colleagues were extremely friendly and we all made an effort to catch up frequently and share our experience of the internship. This was encouraged by the firm as well as special dinners were organised for the interns.
It was extremely affordable, I worked at KPMG Nottingham and the place is cheap inclusive of rent and social costs.
Nottingham has a great nightlife with loads of pubs, bars and clubs to keep you entertained.
There was a great social scene as almost weekly there was some event or the other organised either by the colleagues or the firm that helped in migling with the staff and form good relationships.
