The Role
Very much, as it had a healthy mix of training and challenge, and, since I was part of a relatively small team, I was exposed to client work early on.
Based on the volume of work that came my way, my colleagues must have felt I had a contribution to make.
My supervisors and colleagues were very supportive in this regard.
Very busy!
I had to take responsibility for my workload, prioritizing and working to deadlines, and finding a balance between chargeable and non-chargeable work.
The internship gave me a clear insight into a pensions actuarial workplace and, alongside the actuarial exams I am already studying for, better informed my decision to take up an actuarial career.
The Company
Friendly and very focused.
Very well organised.
Substantially, by sending a broad range of work my way and a readiness on my colleagues part to respond to the queries I raised.
Very much so, provided the firm feel that the trainee merits the position.
The Culture
Yes.
Reasonable.
Studying for exams took up the time outside work.
