The Role
It was absolutely amazing. From the very first day I have been put to work. I started off shadowing the previous interns and by the end of the week I was working alone. I got a complete run down of the company and the market, as well as learning numerous new skills.
The people are The Walt Disney Company could not have been more welcoming. At all times people were patient with me, answered all my questions, reviewed my work, and continuously helped me out. At times other workers are stressed and can at times take it out on you but that can be expected in all jobs.
I had a weekly catch up ever week and was told to come into the office and review any work that I had produced so far.
At the beginning I wasnt very busy then as more and more people started sharing the work load with me I became much busier. Although it can be stressful it is great experience and really helps you learn how to manage your time and work load.
A lot!! From the start!! You are given trust from the beginning, although managers check your work at the start they check it less and less as time goes on. But you are expected to produce work to a high standard from the start.
Although there was no official training programme I did have a 2 week hand over with the previous intern who showed me what was expected of me. I also had a intern handover book. Attended an introduction day, and constantly received helped from collogues.
The Company
The general atmosphere was very friendly, welcoming, but with a lot of hard work taking place. People were really happy to help, stop for a chat, or share with you.
Very well. From the day I started there has been regular check ups, work load reviews, and planned new tasks.
I feel the firm invested a lot into me. Not only did I receive a decent wage for the year, I also got a huge amount of attention from the manager who helped me with every little thing. I also got to go into a new department in order to see how different part of the business worked and to give myself a chance to meet and work with new people.

The Culture
There was so many interns that were so friendly. The social scene was really fun, constant, and included everyone.
I stayed living in my university town and shared with other students. It was the travel costs that were the highest. Drinks after work would cast me quite a lot however.
In the direct surrounding area the night life was average but a few tube stop away and the nightlife was really fun and really busy.
I got involved in the volunteering programme to help out with GOSH foundation. I also helped with screenings and premiers. VERY FUN.
