The Role
The people were very friendly and extremely helpful. There was a good environment in the offices at all times. Occassionally, some of the work I was given to do wasn't explained to me properly, and at other times I was left with nothing to do, but overall I was kept busy and motivated.
I felt very looked after by the colleagues I was with, and got to know many people y working on different jobs with different teams. There was a day with a department meeting and team building exercise which allowed me to get to know them all better.
I had a brilliant mentor, Laura Kneebone, who was extremely supportive and helpful. In general, the supervisors were supportive, but a few were not that clear in their instructions.
I was on client site for the vast majority of the 8 weeks I was with KPMG, which kept me very busy. There were very few times when I was left with nothing to do.
I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of responsibility I was given, and was really thrown in at the deep end. It was great because it made me feel really valued and kept me motivated.
I learnt about how accounts should look, and got much more comfortable speaking with clients.
The Company
The people in my office were very friendly and willing to have fun whilst working hard.
I was booked on jobs from the very beginning, and always knew where I was meant to be.
In audit you very much learn on the job anyway, so many people gave up their time to help me.

The Culture
They were very friendly, but there weren't a lot of socials in the 8 weeks I was there.
It is near London, so not that cheap.
Only went out once with work.
During the 8 weeks I was there at least, there was nothing really to get involved in.
