The Role
Really loved the company and the people. However, my job role did get a little boring at times, but it did really allow me to improve my technical skills and develop on what I already knew.
I became treated as part of the team. I could get on with everyone on both a personal and professional level. It was a great environment.
When I first started in my specific job role I received little to no help learning what to do. This was due to having no hand over from last years students and taking on a new role with no one in the UK being able to support.
I went through phases. I could have really busy weeks then weeks with little work. There was not pattern to it.
I had a great deal of responsibility, dealing with real people and big clients for the company.
My technical skills grew and grew and my business and personal skills also improved.
The Company
IBM has a lot of placement students so it was a great atmosphere to be around. We could have laughs and jokes with everyone and also get on with work when we needed to.
Incredibly organized. Couldn't fault it at all!!
IBM invest in everyone. We are allowed on all different courses and road shows and given a lot of personal and business targets to meet.
