The Role
Really enjoyed it, definitely have no regrets about working here.
The majority of people are very helpful and keen to see me learn.
Can't fault them, they have been brilliant
The job requires me to be helping many different departments on a daily basis so there is always something to do.
For a student with relatively little experience I was given a lot more responsibility than I had expected
The skills I have learned don't have much relevance to my degree but will be extremely well suited to working life after graduation
The Company
Relaxed but professional. We get all of our work done and on time but without the pressure you may expect from a corporate company in the city.
I knew what was expected of me from my first day and I recieved excellent training from the previous placement student over the first month of my placement. After he left other people from the department continued to offer advice and training.
Quite a lot from the responsibility that was given to me. The previous student stayed on for the first month to train me so I would say that was quite a significant investment.

As it's a management type of job there won't be many opportunities to come straight in as a graduate without several years experience. However there may be opportunities to come back in a different role and work my way up.
The Culture
Not really. There are only 3 placement students (including me) so not among only students. There is a football team though which is good fun.
Rent is high and going out is expensive, but they are good areas to live in so it's worth it.
You can get the train into London from work so that makes it easy. And quite a few of the nearby towns have good bars and pubs.
Apart from the football team and occasional drinks with the office, no.
