The Role
My time at SAP has been amazing; I have worked on a wide range of projects, campaigns and events, helping me to improve my skills and knowledge in Marketing.
I have been treated as a full time employee from day one and have continuously been supported by my team.
My personal and professional development has been directly linked with the good relationship I had with my manager. Having regular 1:1’s enabled me to update my manager on current work and raise any issues I may be facing. He was also quick to build my personal brand within SAP and with external partners and agencies. The buddy scheme is also a great initiative, helping you to quickly settle in at SAP.
Managing my workload with my manager and my buddy; I have always been busy at SAP but never overloaded.
As my time went on, my responsibility built within the team. I have successfully managed a number of campaigns and events and am proud to look back on what I have achieved at SAP.
Working at SAP for just over a year; I feel I have massively improved my skills and knowledge in Marketing whilst also benefitting from working in a global business environment. This will not only assist me with my final year at University but believe it will play a key element in shaping my future career path.
The Company
The office, although a corporate environment, is friendly and has recently undergone a huge refurbishment making it a great place to work. Everyone is also very welcoming and there are often opportunities to socialise with your teams.
The placement scheme is very well organised and I have been impressed by the structure and support given throughout. Due to it being managed by interns, there are continuously fun opportunities to take part in projects outside of your day-to-day role and having a wide network of interns across SAP really helps this.
From day 1 you are given training opportunities and this continues throughout your time at SAP. The company invests in you like any other employee and it is up to you to proactively carry this out and make the most of your time at SAP.

After working at SAP, I am very interested in working in the technology industry in B2B marketing. There are many opportunities to come back to SAP for example the sales academy which has a large investment in employing early talent.
The Culture
Having 34 interns at SAP means there is always something going on! Having this community makes working at the company very enjoyable and I have loved the continuous socials outside of work.
London prices means it isn’t always cheap, just be careful not to blow all your money on your first night out!
Unfortunately there are no venues within walking distance of the office. There are however a number of destinations which are easily accessible by public transport and this hasn’t been a problem this year.
There is a football team, netball team and many socials. As I said before, there is always something going on!
