The Role
It was a pleasant experience, eye opening :)
Generally felt appreciated amongst my department although there was inconsistency between departments in the use of the recognition programme at SAP. Some interns were given rewards for very small accomplishments whereas others who had achieved very large successes received nothing.
Some but not too much, my role became autonomous in around 6 months.
A good balance between busy periods and slower times.
Took the initiative within my role and was responsible for results. Management took a hands off role
The placement gave me a lot of insight into the area in which I want to progress my career.
The Company
Fun when people were in the office, a few people never made effort to socialise unless they wanted work done.
The placement could be more structured, I had to take a lot of initiative which can be difficult early into a placement..
Opportunities available throughout the year.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare/Dental
Not great unless you are in Sales.
The Culture
Good amongst placement students, lacking effort from management.
London is an expensive for a placement on sub 16k
Travel in to London is the only option which isn't a bad thing as the transport links to London are brilliant.
Good amount of extra activities going on amongst placement students and staff alike.
