The Role
I much preferred my second rotation, but having the chance to take a rotational scheme on such a short placement (10 weeks) was exceptionally useful.
Mostly I felt extremely valued by my colleagues, but there was the occasional person who had a different attitude towards interns, which brought my score down.
I felt able to approach my manager/supervisors at all stages, but meetings were not regularly set up, which might be something that could be improved
I was very busy, but to a manageable degree. I gave this a score of 5 not because I was 'Too Busy', but because there were stressful periods and this isn't a role for people who struggle with heavy workloads.
Responsibility changed according to the timescale; once I'd proved my ability I was given more responsibility. Inevitably, however, I was not 'running the show', since I do not have the expertise.
I can't fault the amount I've learnt in terms of computer skills, technical knowledge, networking opportunities and personal development. I feel that my work ethic has drastically improved, and that my final year studies will be easier as my ability to deal with stress has been demonstrated and exercised very well.
The Company
The amount of work needed doesn't lend itself to constant fun, but there was a very good level of friendliness, jokiness and 'banter'.
The internship programme was well-organised with a clear layout from the start. There were a few - very minor - issues that I had in terms of the organisation and information being changed at the last minute, but globally I thought there was an excellent balance of events and works.
We spent a week training at the start which was very valuable, and had a further three training sessions throughout the internship. I also took part in two "Sprint" workshops, which were very interesting for personal development as a woman in the workplace.

Company Parties/Events
I hear before the end of my placement if I will be offered a position on the graduate programme, and I am confident that I would want to work at RBS if I were to be successful in this respect. There is an enormous scope for promotion and personal development within the organisation, which is extremely appealing.
The Culture
I had a fantastic intern class with whom I built great relationships and enjoyed spending time with. There were socials organised by HR but also a lot of independent socialising which made the time much better.
London is always expensive, which is the only downside. Since we were handsomely compensated for our time, however, this wasn't quite so much of an issue.
London might be expensive, but there is a fantastic nightlife scene with options for everyone, whatever their preferences.
There were many opportunities (CSR, Charity work, Forums etc.), but not much time to take them up. For that reason, I would give this a 5.
