The Role
Very enjoyable with many opportunities, lots of people to meet and different things to get involved in. I really enjoyed the variety of projects I got to experience. I was also lucky enough to get client exposure which was very enjoyable and showed me the value of having face to face meetings with clients. I also enjoyed the depth of work I was trusted with which meant I felt I was being very valuable to the team.
I felt like i was making valuable contribution that were appreciated by the team. I thought I was given adequate responsibility and opportunities to contribute by everyone.
Had many different supporting people including People Manager and Buddy. There was also the office network and the other interns, we all supported each other.
Either too busy or bored - but that's the way that consultancy projects work!
I was given far more responsibility that I thought with lots of input into things for clients. I was directly contributing to reports and presentation and even in client meetings.
I have developed lifelong useful skills including Excel, Stata and reporting skills and powerpoint skills.
The Company
The atmosphere is quite work-holic with everyone focusing on the work at hand. But there is sometimes a more lively atmosphere and I always found people to talk to.
The placement was well set up to begin with with a fun whole intern event in northmapton where we could meet lots of people and get involved in activities. Would have been better to have more dinners and whole intern events.
The people within the team invested a lot of time to help me understand and get to grips with the software. This was less so form the actual company..
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Would love to work with the people here and the opportunities it would give me and how much i think i would be able to contribute.
The Culture
There was among managing interns, less so among economic interns but may be cause there were only a few of us.
Very expensive, but that's london living. You can find cheaper places/deals like happy hour or organise picnics/events at someones house.
Near soho and shoreditch and camden so relatively good places to go out, though quite expensive you can get deals if you orgnaise a large group.
Thought there could have been more opportunity to get involved with charity events or sporting events from pwc. Thought outside work completely it is london so opportunities there.
