The Role
Excellent!
Very good meshing with the analysts and associates. A fairly unique culture within the banking industry.
I could go and ask my immediate team any question about any topic, and they would have time to give me a genuine thoughtful and in-depth answer!
Variable. As the internship takes place during summer, some desks naturally go into a semi dormant state and so sometimes finding work can be a challenge in itself. However, there is always something that eventually needs doing, so you get there in the end.
As an intern, you get insights into some really cool stuff....however, in terms of actually taking responsibility for top tier work, that is very much desk/manager dependent.
I tend to see the work and the education world as very different..with not much overlap at all.
The Company
Quietly focused, with bouts of enthusiastic socialising.
The training and general experience acquired is invaluable and exceedingly well structured.
I feel like RBS cares a lot about the development of their staff, and it showed very much as the internship progressed.
Very much so. RBS is at the dawn of a new generation and age, and now is the time to be part of that.
The Culture
It is what you make of it.
Liverpool Street is not a cheap place to eat/drink in.
There is definitely often stuff going on, whether sporting, community charity or other
