The Role
Quite enjoyable, some repetitive tasks can be boring, however as the internship progresses you will find you become more of a valuable team.
At the start, felt in the way, felt a little of a liability. However by the second week you feel more useful - ALL VERY FRIENDLY
Support was all very good
Some days more busy than others, depended on the client and the stage of the audit. Mostly 9-5.
You gain the trust and respect of collegues more by the end of the audit, therefore your responsibilities are improved the longer you are there.
Studying Accounting and Finance and the tests I have carried out and the skills I have leaned will deffinately be useful. Always good to see how what you learn is transfered into the real environment. Would reccomend to any student - good, valuable experience.
The Company
Very easy going, relaxed
Quite well organised, always had jobs
The firm and staff taught me about all the tests and relevant controls and processes. I feel the time invested in training me a little was well spent
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing, probably 80% chance of job offer at the end
The Culture
Social scene was OK, but feel like it would be better if I was permenant staff and made more friends
Fairly average
PARTY TOWN! (Leeds is a good night)
yes
