The Role
I’ve had an amazing time at Enterprise, met some great people and have learnt so much in the year!
I felt extremely valued by my colleagues as I was actively involved in team meetings as well as social events and they were always supportive and willing to help whenever I approached them.
Both my manager and colleagues were incredibly helpful throughout my placement and assisted with my training from the very beginning right till the very end of my placement. I’ve learnt such a great deal from my entire team and they would always try and help me with any queries I had regardless of them being extremely busy at times.
I started to become increasingly busier as my placement progressed, however I found this was a positive thing as everyday was different and made the job more interesting as there was always something to do and has given me the opportunity to learn such a great deal in a year.
I was given the opportunity to take on a number of responsibilities and empowered to make my own decisions for certain tasks which I believe has helped increase my confidence and become more independent.
I have definitely benefitted from the training I’ve received and the placement as a whole has been really insightful. The IT skills and the prioritisation skills are the two key areas which I believe I have improved on and will be able to reflect this in my final year at University.
The Company
The office atmosphere at Enterprise is great as everyone is really friendly and there isn’t a division between management and junior members of the team. It was great to see that everyone was so approachable and how down to earth senior managers were as they were willing to help you with any problem no matter how big or small.
The work placement was well organised as I got the chance to work on a variety of tasks, interact with other departments and meet clients off site so I could be exposed to various parts of the business and gain the most of out of my experience.
My manager invested a lot of time to train me when I initially started Enterprise to help me understand how the business works as well as my roles and responsibilities. I also had monthly personal development meetings with my manager to make sure I was on track with my tasks as well as give me the chance to discuss any skills I felt I wanted to develop.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Enterprise are renowned for promoting their employees from within the company, therefore future prospects of employment seem particularly promising if I wanted to return to Enterprise after graduating.
The Culture
As the high street was just minutes away from the office, my colleagues and I made a regular effort to go out for team lunches and for drinks after work which was a great chance to interact with colleagues outside of the office environment and get to know them on a personal level.
Surrey is one of the more expensive parts of the country, however as there are many students due to the University, there are plenty of affordable places to stay as well as socialising nearby.
The train station was only a few minutes walk from work so there were plenty of places nearby for enjoying a night out.
There were always a range of activities as well as charity events which Enterprise would organise for a chance for employees to spend a day out of the office and get involved with community projects.
