The Role
I really enjoyed the environment within the bank and the people I worked with. Confirmed that I want to work in finance/bank. Sometimes I feel like I could be challenged more or would have liked to experience more of a range
Got on well with my team and saw how my projects contributed to the overall teams work which was nice as I was actually doing something useful that they needed and were using. Enjoyed working with the people on my team and felt included
All em ever of my team were always willing to help further my knowledge and answer any of my questions
At the start things could sometimes be slow with me finishing quickly and asking for more and not always getting given more but towards end a lot more busy which I preferred
A reasonable amount of responsibility as I could set hat lost of my projects were important for my team and contributed to their work
I feel a lot more comfortable in my financial knowledge and understand a lot more of what goes on within the workings of a bank and how all the different sectors link. I am a lot more confident in myself which I think has been the best improvement which can help be more "go-getting" in all aspects of my life
The Company
The people were great and had a a sense of humour and seemed very welcoming
I not only got to experience first hand the type of work and doing the work in a bank, but also got the opportunity to attend speaker sessions that helped broaden my overall knowledge. I got the opportunity to shadow outside of my division which improved my picture of the wider bank and really boosted my knowledge and understanding
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the bank and could really see myself settling in and coming into my own
The Culture
I really liked all of my fellow interns and see a lot of them as friends now, which was helped by the various events organised
The same as I am used to
