The Role
Great atmosphere, felt proud to be working for the UK's central bank. Excellent people
Rather valued, especially by recent graduates.
Bi-monthly review sessions with manager. Sat on same desk, was always a shout away.
Varied from day to day. First week quite idle, next few weeks picked up. Last two weeks, was in office much longer than pay.
Significant amount; two presentations and a written assessment.
Learnt a considerable amount about my industry, and training has helped for future internships.
The Company
Rather relaxed compared to an investment bank.
Very well.
Skills session at the end of the internship.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Perhaps in the future.
The Culture
Socials organised by interns. Got to meet Mark Carney.
Pretty expensive. London.
Nightlife around Bank pretty good.
Gym, sports club.
