The Role
I learnt a lot and was enjoying the application of engineering which I was studying at university. I also enjoyed the company of the people I was working with, always receiving a helping hand when required.
I was given tasks that required responsibility and did not feel I was treated as a student.
My manager was always willing to teach me new concepts I did not understand however he was away for a lot of the time i.e on holiday in different office while I was doing my placement. Overall, however he did help me when he was around.
Usually kept busy. Had a task that needed completing most of the time sometimes had to ask for more work if I completed everything.
I was allowed to carry out a project that was fairly difficult and felt I was given responsibility here.
Definitely of great value for CV and employment. Learnt a lot of skills, from soft skills to technical and applying those technical skills.
The Company
Was able to chat to colleagues freely.
I am on a bursary from them plus paid internships so they are investing a lot in me!

The Culture
Yes played football with my colleagues.
Rent was cheap. Food was fairly cheap. Transport was however a bit more expensive but overall I saved quite a bit of the money I was earning.
Did not find much to do at night in the city
