The Role
I like a lot of aspects of my job, however some could be improved, although this is the same with any and all placements. Luckily, once I mention any problems I was having, the problem was rectified.
This varies, again like any placement my duties ranged in difficulty and stature. I was instantly trusted and as time went on I was given harder tasks.
My manager always has time to answer my questions, no matter how small. If my manager was not around, I had help from the whole team.
Again this varies, some days I am snowed under, which I prefer, and others it will be quiet, but there is always something to do.
During a period of time where our marketing executive was away I was given a lot of duties and left to see things through to the end, but most daily tasks are not project based, but just a deligation of a sale meaning that I sometimes do not get to start and complete tasks.

The Company
Everyone is very nice, however the majority of my team are not office based, therefore I would be alone on my desk, but the rest of the floor are very social with each other so I never had no one to speak to.
The broadcast industry has many events, which I get to go to and experience for myself, which has really shown me how sales and marketing works in a long term basis.
I have been able to do any training course I have wanted, if I ask generally my manager and team are supportive and want me to get the most out of my time at Panasonic. I was taken to Amsterdam for an exhibition, I will be taken to Bristol for another exhibition and two more awards nights in the future. The entire team really want students to see how the broadcast industry works.

The broadcast team has just re-hired the placement student from two years ago as their new marketing executive, this does mean that there are not many more team roles to fill.
The Culture
All the placement students are lovely (there are 16 of us), but Reading is not so great for night life, but we all keep social even if it's just a visit to the pub! The up side of only having 16 placement students is that we all know each other quite well, compared to companies with lots of students!
Going out in Reading is very expensive during the summer, but once the Reading students come back in term time, student nights will start up again.
Bracknell does not have nightlife!
