The Role

Everyone is very welcoming and happy spend time with you to discuss your work.
There are many appraisal schemes in place to get feedback from management. You are also assigned a buddy who you can help if you have any problems
Sometimes very busy but there are quiet periods. Luckily my team were always happy to give me extra work if I had spare time.
I was working on a live application that would be used throughout Citi
i was able to use my skills from uni but you also learn a lot while there, especially from a business aspect

Business environment but still fairly relaxed

Most of technology training is given once you are in your. I was given all the training required for my work.

There were events such as dragon boat racing, drinks events etc arranged by HR. Interns also have a few nights out on their own
It's London .. not cheap
Lots of bars and pubs in canary wharf and close enough to go in to centre
You can take a day to go volunteering
