The Role
I enjoyed most aspects of working at Enterprise. I was given a lot of responsibility and I helped my own learning by not being afraid to take on new tasks and being confident. At times however I did feel like I was just there to answer the phones as I wasn't allowed to drive. Towards the end of the placement I was given important tasks and it made me feel like I was an important member of the team.
I think the fact that I was not able to drive made me an important part of the office as it meant staff could rely on me to there for when customers walked through the door and the phones were always more likely to be answered quickly and allowed problems to be dealt with at branch level rather than customers having to take things to call centers etc.
The support I have recieved has been mixed, I think this is because I threw myself in to tasks and I was trusted to do my own thing a bit more. Whenever I asked questions I was helped straight away and I had some good one on ones with my manager and area manager however I think these could've been more regular.
At Enterprise there is always something to be doing and time flies by.
I was given a lot of responsibility in the closing weeks to do with chasing unpaid invoices to help the revenue of the branch.
I have gained many fantastic skills that will help me in my final year and many examples I can use in interviews in the future. I have experience in leadership, training, cost control, making revenue, customer service and sales skills.
The Company
Not always very talkative between staff as there were a lot of new starters.
Well organised, great induction at head office.
There was a lot of time invested in me to help me do the best for the branch.
Slightly appealing however the long hours have put me off.
The Culture
Could socialising as we shared a hotel together at the start and have been go karting together also.
Nottingham has a large nightlife.
