The Role
Really enjoyed - made to feel welcome and given meaningful work.
As responsibilities grew, so did the value
I was given enough support to enable to me to develop (especially in later stages). A bit of lack of support in the first week, but nothing that I felt was detrimental
It varied depending on stage of the placement and day to day. In general work load was much higher in second half of placement, as to be expected. There was a week were I had to work 10-11 hour days, but this is not normally expected. Work was at a good level.
Lots of responsibility, working on one of the biggest projects GSK have undertaken.
Assist me in both areas - confidence, ways of working, organisation and multitasking
The Company
Relaxed and fun. There is time for a laugh, but people knew where the boundaries were - professional environment
Very well. General schedule was planned for the first week - induction stuff - and then was always people working to give me projects
No training invested
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Very. Chance to get onto the future leaders programme from internship
The Culture
Yes - interns and industrial placement students socialised
London - quite expensive
Unsure, tended to go to central london
No, few that I was aware of.
